Ep. 358 The Bamboo House | Casa de la Tierra with Laura & Gonzalo
Julian sits down with the creators of the original Bamboo House in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. A one-of-a-kind, cozy sustainable shelter. Curated by the natural environment found in the coast of Oaxaca. The heart of this house lies in the belief that we should all take part in building a more prosperous future and sustainability should be a priority considering the environmental shifts that we are facing. Inspired in making a more conscious lifestyle, we’ve designed Casa de la Tierra to evoke an authentic sense of wellbeing that embodies the space and connects spirit with nature. The house build was directed by Laura and Gonzalo, with help from Jorge Luna, permaculturist and biologist from Veracruz, specialized in construction and bamboo structures along with many family members, friends and volunteers that joined the journey of imagining and creating this house, to serve as an example of how to intertwine sustainability, comfort and balance with nature. Found next to an ecological reserve in Punta Zicatela, next to Puerto Escondido, just 10 minutes from the beach, Casa de la Tierra is a place to stimulate sensibility and immerse you in nature's echo. Here, the greatest luxury is finding your bare self sheltered by natural materials, sounds and sensations unique to Oaxaca's coast. All packed into a comfortable boutique setting. Casa de la Tierra is a completely unique experience. A dream come true that blends nature and architecture in an exceptional way. Imagine a house built entirely with bamboo and clay, surrounded by a natural pool lush vegetation. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support
