In this episode, Robbins reflects on scoring a film that remains as relevant today as it was 20 years ago—a deeply personal and politically charged exploration of the Kashmir conflict through the eyes of two friends, one Hindu and one Muslim. He shares how he approached the emotional and cultural nuances of the story through music, bringing depth and resonance to a narrative rooted in identity, friendship, and one of the world’s most complex regions. David Robbins (born January 29, 1955, in Los Angeles, California) is an American composer renowned for his work in film, television, and theater. He is the brother of actor and director Tim Robbins and the son of musician Gil Robbins. His work on Bob Roberts earned him the Georges Delerue Prize at the Ghent International Film Festival in 1992.  Beyond film, Robbins has contributed to television and theater, serving as the musical director for The Actors" Gang, a theater company founded by Tim Robbins.
