For 18 years Kate Bean served as the founder and CEO of Aveson, a non-profit built to manage charter schools and lead a national movement to challenge traditional K-12 education. Through her company iChangeCourse, Kate advises non-profit leaders on start-up practices, change management, mindful leadership, and personal/professional balance. She spent a year traveling the country doing volunteer work while documenting stories of shared values, resilience, and the power of connection.  At the time of recording Kate is an Advanced Leadership Institute Fellow at Harvard University. www.ichangecourse.com
