These simple rules are as vital now to our love of God and neighbor as they were when they were introduced in 1743! Scripture ~ Galatians 5:13-15 As the Methodist movement started to grow, it was no longer possible for John Wesley to personally oversee and guide every group that was meeting. He realized that *how* they did things was as important as *what* they did. And the first rule reflects the truth that we cannot truly do good until we commit to doing no harm.
