Mark Zeigler of the San Diego Union Tribune joins the show to talk about Grand Canyon University joining the Mountain West a year early and what it will mean for the Mountain West conference. Zeigler talks about San Diego State football and the struggles they had last year. Zeigler says no expectations are going into the season for the Aztecs, and there are no fans that are going to be showing up for the football games. Zeigler discusses whether San Diego State basketball can continue to excel under the new rules and revenue sharing in college sports. Founder of Hopscotch, Dave Gunderson, joins the program to discuss his charity, Hopscotch. Their mission is to provide healthy, nutritious snacks to students in the low-income communities within the Portland area. Gunderson saw kids struggling to get food and good meals while watching his children participate in sports, and Gunderson felt like he needed to help feed hungry kids. Gunderson talks about some of the problems that happen in youth sports, especially baseball.
