Timothy Mitchell is a husband, father, former landscaper turned truck driver, avid motorcyclist and colon cancer survivor who started the hashtag #BeatCancerThenRide to document his journey with cancer and inform others of his experience. According to the American Cancer Society, Black colorectal cancer patients are about 15 to 20% more likely to die from the disease than patients of any other race.
