#73 - Hiking the CDT, PCT, & PNT w/ Thru HIkers, Tim and Renee!

In this episode, Chad chats with Tim and Renee who are known famously across social media platforms as the Thru Hikers. Tim and Renee share their experiences from various trails they've hiked, particularly emphasizing their hike on the Continental Divide Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Pacific Northwest Trail, and in Germany. They share their passion for wilderness and the lessons learned from each trail, ranging from dangerous water crossings to unpredictable weather conditions. They also talk about living frugally both on-trail and off, how they managed their career alongside their passion, and some of their favorite gear, including waterproof socks and closed foam sleeping pads. Towards the end, they discuss a hiking app they developed drawing inspiration from their experiences on German trails. They discuss the importance of experiencing culture thru hiking and also answer audience questions about the long-term physical effects of thru hiking and how they handle disagreements.
