My guest is someone I’m happy for all our listeners to meet. Her amazing background and experience have uniquely positioned her to understand the role of an executive assistant. She’s here to share what she’s learned and what you should consider in bringing someone into your business to help you succeed. It’s ridiculous to think you can do IT ALL in your business! It’s okay to bring in someone to do their expert work to help propel you to further success. Today’s episode gives you tips and insights to take that next step.  Monique Helstrom worked as the “How” to Simon Sinek’s “Why” for almost a decade as she filled the role of executive assistant, producer, and “Chief of Simon” for the NY Times best-selling author and TED celebrity. She produced everything he did to inspire and scale his movement, including launching three best-selling books, developing his world-famous speaking career, and coordinating his media appearances. During this whirlwind, she had the opportunity to meet many thousands of people facing quite similar issues who asked themselves, “What do I bring to the table, and how can I use those skills to amplify a partnership, team, or organization?” As an expert in the relationship between an executive and their assistant, Monique bridges the skill and personality gap with personalized coaching, specialized recruiting, practical strategies, and actionable insights tailored to both sides of the partnership. Her experience gave rise to a practical and honest approach to individual excellence, team collaboration, and how communication is at the center of it all.  Show Highlights:The “should-ing” we do to ourselves–and how it trips us upUsing self-awareness to identify what we are good at helps us know where we need help.Knowing yourself helps you know who else you need around you.Learn to communicate your needs in specific ways.
