Originally trained as a nuclear physicist, Alan helped build the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory. He now does consulting as one of the world"s leading experts on Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) frameworks, and especially the RADIUS protocol. Alan has been an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) contributor since 1999, and has published many Requests for Comments (RFCs) in the space.
