Delores Davis is a great woman to wrap up Women's History Month with a 'bow' of living one's best life to the fullest. At age 95, Delores continues to be active and involved in her community. Delores gave more than 30 years of her life as a Social Worker supporting children in foster care. She was also a devoted mother of six, who she raised alone following the death of her husband. It was this early loss that would ultimately lead Delores to essentially a new career, as a writing instructor and author. Since the younger children had little memory of their dad, Delores set to writing the family history, teaching herself computer use to help accomplish this goal. Delores has taught seniors how to write their life stories through workshops at area churches, senior centers and retirement homes. Her energy and engagement are a strong testament to continue to live our best life as long as we have been given it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
