In addition to her commitment to patients through her devotion to the latest evidence-based research, Dr. Hakman is passionate about educating through mentorships with residents and fellows and using social media to educate online viewers about reproduction, including being a member of the BabyCenter medical advisory board. She also serves on the American Board of OBGYN as a subject matter expert for REI board certification. Dr. Hakman has a background in genetics research where she has investigated the intricate genetics of Müllerian anomalies, focusing her studies on MRKH (Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser) syndrome – a rare condition where women are born without a uterus.
