117: Stand Firm: a video solocast with Melony Brown

I’m super excited to share the first video solocast of season 7! This episode is not an audio interview with a guest. This episode is the outcome of my deep dive study of Ephesians 6 for my School of the New Testament class. As I was studying the armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-18, the words ‘stand firm’ hit me in a different way.  I used Strong’s Concordance on biblehub.com to learn the Greek definitions for stand firm, which uncovered a “hidden treasure” and gave me a deeper understanding of why Paul told the Ephesian believers to stand firm just before he described the weapons in the armor of God.  When we face challenges, we stand on God’s firm foundation. God calls us to stand firm-not in our own strength, courage, and perseverance. In His!
