ABOUT THE EPISODE Comic Watcher Seth Romo joins the show to talk about the winners and nominees of the 2023 Eisner Awards that were announced on July 21st at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). They discuss some of the big news from the convention that got them excited, some of the surrounding controversies around the convention and the awards, and a deep dive into some of the category winners of the Eisners that they selected and voted on by their Patreon members. They also touch on how to correctly pronounce James Tynion IV’s name, what writers they think may win next year, and what comic books they and the listeners of the show are reading.
