Paul Getzel is the Executive Director of NAMI Seattle and gives us an overview of the important work his organization does in our community, as well as nationwide. Providing education and awareness, plus working on advocacy, is part of the work. There's a special volunteer opportunity incoming - on Thursday October 10th, NAMI Seattle volunteers, staff, and Board members will sell 50/50 raffle tickets to fans at Lumen Field during that night's Seahawks/49ers game. One lucky raffle winner will go home with half of the funds collected, the other half going to support NAMI Seattle and other wonderful local nonprofits who are Seahawks Spirit of 12 Partners, like Seattle Out and Proud Foundation, Northwest Harvest, and Compass Housing Alliance.
