#036 RSIRE Arsalan Siddiqui Shares His Experience Building A Large Addition On His Home   Arsalan is a Toronto-based realtor who decided to move his parents in with he and his family in 2019. They first started investigating buying a larger home, but what he thought they required was $2.5 million and above.    To be practical, he decided to see if he could build a 550 Sqf addition onto his existing home, but there were many hurdles to jump - first of all seeing if it was possible/permissible in his area to do this.   He decided to hire an architect to do the planning and then do the work. After interviewing a short list, the prices were all over the place. And with COVID happening, materials were hard to find and finding someone to actually be able to do the job was difficult.    How was his experience with the renovation?
