Mike Brennan New Jersey-based designer and illustrator. My artistic journey began as a boy in New York, where I would construct heartwarming greeting cards which lit up the faces of my family and friends. From an early age, I understood the importance of serving others through my art and bringing them value, an ethos still evident in my creative practice today. My portfolio showcases a versatility and creativity. I’m known for my pop culture art, yoga art, live event sketching and graphic design. I’m also the author and illustrator of four self-published books: “Dear Snow: One Man’s Angry Rant Against Winter,” “Dear Human: What Your Dog Is Really Thinking”, “The Art of Yoga”, and “Infectious Art: Pandemic Pop Culture Portraits.” I also help fellow creatives and content creators leverage simple, practical steps for establishing a daily creative habit. I do this via international public speaking, the Daily Creative Habit community and newsletter, and my course “Your Artist Journey” (www.YourArtistJourney.com) where I shares key methods and principles from my own daily art making practice that spans 10+ consecutive years and counting. I studied in New York City and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and The School of Visual Arts. I have enjoyed working with a range of clients in the past, from major brands including Mobile, Heineken, Chase Bank, to independent agencies serving boutique businesses like Tuscan/Lehigh Valley Dairies and Sportcraft. I spent years in editorial design as an art director / designer for magazines like CollegeBound, Succeed, and Link Magazine. My pop culture art was spotlighted on AMC’s Talking Dead, and featured on Syfy.com. My yoga art appeared in ‘The Art of Healthy Living’ exhibit at the I.D.E.A. Museum, Mesa, Arizona. I have been a featured illustrator for meowbox, featured in Capsules Pictoria Volume 3, The Best Contemporary Illustrators Worldwide, and long listed with The Association of Illustrators World Illustration Awards 2020. I have had art represented by Galleria Miso gallery, I’m a member of Illustrators For Hire, and have featured art in the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois.
