Dave Burnett Mr. Burnett is a serial entrepreneur who brings global executive experience from private and public companies in the Security, Biometric, and Digital Identity markets. He has significant experience in the development and expansion of a variety of ecosystems from a software, hardware and security perspective. Before founding Identity Devices, he was previously VP and Head of the Embedded Business Line for Fingerprints and its board member representative for the FIDO Alliance. Prior to Fingerprints, Mr. Burnett was a Vice President at Nok Nok Labs, where he played a pivotal role in helping to found and expand of the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) Alliance. In this role, he was vital to many of the ground-breaking launches of devices and services using FIDO-integrated biometrics. Highlights include his involvement in the integration and launch of the first FIDO-enabled Android smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S5), the first FIDO-enabled payment service (PayPal), the first FIDO-enabled TEE (Qualcomm) and the first mobile network operator (NTT DOCOMO). Underpinning his expertise in biometric authentication on mobile devices is a deep foundation in security, cryptography and identity best practices developed during his leadership positions at both PGP Corporation and Symantec from 2002 through 2011. Mr. Burnett’s strong sense of how to evangelize, productize and ship innovative technology stretches back more than 20 years, beginning with a software engineering consulting firm he founded in 1992 and led for 10 years.
