I’m No Brakes Nu’, host of A Pod Named Kickback. I spent 20 years as a rapper from DC who has appeared on 106 & Park, MTV’s Direct Effect and became a legend in DC and the DMV for selling my CD’s out of the trunk of my car and making fire music and music videos that watched like short movies. Never forget. I launched my internet radio show in April of 2012. The last few years I switched it to an official podcast and on this podcast I discuss the biggest stories in pop culture, politics, music, sex, and sports. Some weeks I find one idea I’d like to discuss and solely focus on that. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I invite some of the brightest, most engaging and entertaining minds I can find to have these discussions with me on my virtual kickback. Don’t tell anyone but sometimes I invite listeners on the podcast too. I record live at 7PM on Sunday nights on youtube. As I come up on my 12th year of edutaining you I only ask that you subscribe to the vibe and tell a friend to do so as well. #NoBrakes @NoBrakesNu @APodNamedKickback

When does “just friends” really mean just friends? This week on A Pod Named Kickback, Nu’ and Jacquie (yeah, that’s J-A-C-Q-U-I-E!) dive into the messy truth about the friend zone — why most people waiting there aren’t real friends, and why being “the nice guy” doesn’t entitle you to anything. From there, the crew flip
