One of R.J. Post’s earliest memories is that of copying newspaper comic strips with his watercolor set and delivering the pictures to doorsteps in his Elyria, Ohio, neighborhood. All of that was before he could even read and write! ​He graduated to delivering actual newspapers — and reading much of them along the way —

R.J. Post grew up in Ohio and Kansas and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, KS.
